Colm (AKA: DJ McCannito) is DKDance's Salsa/Latin DJ.

He first got into DJing while at University in Yorkshire back in the 1990s and was a regular at Student Union events.  When he returned to Northern Ireland he found Salsa and quickly became hooked on both the dancing and the Latin music.  His ability to navigate equipment and audience tastes was snapped up by Salsa-NI and Colm was constantly in demand at their events - seeing him become the main DJ at their Salsa Balls in Belfast Castle and The Waterfront Hall, and at Salsa Grandé and numerous other fundraising events in Northern Ireland. 
Most recently Colm was the Opening Night DJ at the Christian Aid 'Casa Romero' venue at Summer Madness - an event for 5,000 young people held in Belfast.

He has also had the pleasure of gracing the tables at weekender events across England and the Republic of Ireland

Colm continues to DJ when not teaching and loves to get the dancefloor going and show-off a few moves himself.  He is constantly searching for new music to keep his collection uptodate and he is regularly in touch with other DJs across the world discussing new releases, trends and emerging artists and labels.
